The 3rd Wing is a unit of the Italian Air Force, which reports to the head of the Support Service of the Air Force Logistics Command (Rome) and is based at Verona-Villafranca Airport. The Wing's main task is to ensure "operational survival" capabilities and logistical support to units and mobile components of the command and control system projected to operate outside their permanent bases.
It also oversees the preparation of procedures, methodologies, and equipment suitable for optimizing and rationalizing the activities of its dependent units during field deployments, ensuring the maintenance of assigned equipment and tools.
