Urusei Yatsura (Lamù) is a shōnen manga written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi, published in Japan in the weekly magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday, published by Shogakukan, from September 24, 1978 to February 4, 1987.

The manga launched Takahashi's career and has received positive reception from fans and critics worldwide, with over 35 million copies in circulation. It won the 1980 Shogakukan Manga Prize in both the shōnen and shōjo categories, and the 1987 Seiun Award for Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Comic.

In 1981 it became a series of Fuji Television and despite the initial mistrust, the manga became a cult work that transformed Lamù into an icon of pop culture. The manga, through comic and crazy events, represents the life and culture of Japan, but it is also a parody of contemporary society and local folklore.

The manga was published in Italian first by Granata Press (April 1991/ March 1995) and then by Star Comics (February 1, 1997/ January 1, 2001). The anime, instead, was broadcast by various private TV stations and television circuits from 1983 until September 29, 2010.
