Creature from the Black Lagoon is a 1954 science fiction horror film directed by Jack Arnold, shot in black and white in stereoscopic format.


Considered a cult, it is one of the most famous cinematographic works of the fifties and one of the classics in the history of science fiction cinema. Its success led to the production of two sequels (The Revenge of the Monster in 1955 and The Terror on the World in 1956).
