Velcro Patch 100th Anniversary 2nd Wing Air Force

The 2nd Wing, formerly known as the 2nd Fighter Wing, is a wing of the Italian Air Force and has served as the primary missile hub for national air defense since July 1, 2007. It reports to the Combat Forces Command in Milan and is currently headquartered at Rivolto Airport in the municipality of Codroipo, in the province of Udine.

The wing, named in memory of pilot Captain Mario D'Agostini, includes the Missile Group and the 80th OCU Group, which is responsible for the training and qualification of Air Defense Missile category personnel on the SPADA weapon system and since 2020 has represented a point of reference within the Armed Forces as a missile hub, with the introduction of the new SIRIUS weapon system and the evolution from Sirius to MAADS.
