The pin is made of enamelled metal and measures 1.5 cm

The Carabinieri Band represents the musical formations of the force, which evolved from the ancient trumpets used to escort ceremonies and communicate orders, today recognized as the large Musical Band and territorial marching bands (such as those on horseback), composed of Carabinieri musicians with degrees from the Conservatory, performing with prestige in parades, concerts and national/international events.

Origins and Evolution:

1831: The first trumpeters are born in the Carabinieri in Piedmont.

1862: The first "Fanfare" was formed, later evolving into "Music" and, in 1910, into the "Band of the Royal Carabinieri Students Legion".

Post-war: The Band took on its current form, becoming a world-famous musical institution.
